Amazing things!

I'm not one for late nights but last night I could not stop dancing and before I knew it it was 2.30am. I know. I'm out of control! So this morning we went to The Crawford Gallery Cafe and I woke up over a big plate of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Oh life giving maple syrup, how I love thee. Some people choose Bryan Adams or Alanis Morissette but personally speaking I think maple syrup is Canada's best export.
Anyway when I came home I went up to check on the hens and look what I found:

Kiss & Makeup!

I wear makeup every day. I love it. Any time I don't wear any people ask me if I'm feeling sick, I'm actually quite pale in real life but I love to emerge from the house a biscuity beige, my cheeks sculpted by glistening bronze powder, aah lovely! For months I've had cosmetics scattered around the hall outside my bedroom but spring has sprung and it's time to get organised.Inspired by Mise's spring clean, I bought this:

Little Bo Peep

Last week I drove to Tralee with my brilliant sister (and partner in crime) Rosie. We were on a mission to collect the most amazing puppy ever as a surprise for my favourite boy. We had been planning to get a dog for ages; we were just waiting till we found the right one. Then last week we found her. Introducing Bo…

Let's play Kitchen!

I love packaging. At Christmas I always keep the boxes that things come in, I have so much tissue paper, wrapping paper and different cartons and crates. I always think that I'll find a brilliant use for them. I recently acquired two large cardboard boxes. These two boxes would have been the stuff of dreams when I was about eight years old so I knew exactly what to do with them. Make a Play Kitchen!

The Cats get lucky

One of the most comforting dishes for cold weather is Fish Pie. So gorgeous. I really wanted to get to The English Market in Cork city this weekend and stock up at O'Connells amazing fish stall but I was working so I just went to my local shop. Wah.

Anyway they had some fairly nice fish but not the amazing display of maritime beauties that the market offers.

Pop over for breakfast...

I love having a big breakfast. Its supposed to be the most important meal of the day. On weekdays I just about make it out the door to work with a yogurt on board and, if I'm organised, porridge. The story is the same on Saturdays, as I run The Creativity Club, so Sundays are my only opportunity for breakfasting like a king! Not that I need an excuse.
This Sunday I made Blueberry Popovers.

Spring has sprung!

In August last year we got five fluffy yellow ducklings. Four ducks and a drake. They were unbelievably cute and now they are massive white noisy birds.
